North Wales Visitor Survey

During 2003/4, a pan North Wales Visitor Survey was commissioned to analyse the profile and motivation of visitors to North Wales. In partnership with other Local Authorities and various outside bodies such as Countryside Council of Wales, Wales Tourist Board, Welsh Development Agency and Tourism Partnership North Wales, the project was co-ordinated by the Economic Development Department at Wrexham CBC.

The aim of the survey was to provide information that will help structure the tourist activity that will be undertaken within the next few years. Marketing and development will be determined by the findings of the survey, on a local, regional and North Wales basis. Without an understanding of visitor perceptions and needs, we are unable to determine areas of weakness or strength. We need to know what our visitors are thinking in order to provide a better service for them in the future.
