Hafod Quarry: Modification Order to Landfill in the Special Area of Conservation
The Wrexham County Borough Council (Modification of Planning Permission) (Hafod Claypit, Johnstown) No 2 Order 2007
The Council has made a further Order to modify the above planning permission to prevent land filling at Hafod Quarry.
The Order prevents landfilling on that part of the site which is designated a Special Area of Conservation, because it is a habitat for Great Crested Newts, and will require the eventual landform on the remainder of the landfill site to be modified.
The Order, together with explanatory statement can be viewed below and at the Planning Department, Lambpit Street, Wrexham (8.45 - 5.15 Mondays to Thursdays and 8.45 - 4.45 on Fridays).
It is the responsibility of the National Assembly for Wales to decide whether this Order are confirmed and any representations on the matter should be made to Planning 1 Division, National Assembly for Wales, Second Floor, Cathays Park, Cardiff, CF10 3NQ.
Please note that Wrexham Council is not the appropriate body for receiving representations and any that are sent to the Council will be returned.
