Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW)
The Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) is an Assembly Sponsored Public Body established in May 1992 under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992. The Council assumed responsibility for the funding of higher education in Wales in April 1993. It administers funds made available by the National Assembly for Wales to support education, research and associated activities at twelve higher education institutions. It also provides funds for prescribed higher education courses at further education colleges.

The National Library of Wales
The National Library is one of the great libraries of the
world. Its home is in the seaside town of Aberystwyth in Ceredigion. Since
1911 it has enjoyed the right to collect, free of charge, a copy of every
printed work published in Britain and Ireland. In addition we have a huge
collection of works about Wales and the other Celtic countries: books
and pamphlets, magazines and newspapers, microforms, ephemera, and a wealth
of electronic material.

Welsh Assembly Government
The Welsh Assembly Government is responsible for developing and implementing policies and programmes for all issues that have been devolved to Wales. The First Minister, the Rt Hon Rhodri Morgan AM, leads the Assembly Government and chairs a Cabinet of eight other Ministers. Welsh European Funding Office
The aim of the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO) is to make European Funds work efficiently and effectively for Wales. WEFO, which is part of the Welsh Assembly Goverment's Department for the Economy and Transport responsible for administering the 2007–2013 European Structural Fund Programmes in Wales, and concluding the 2000–2006 programmes.

by public money. It was established in December 1993 under the terms of
