The Treasury is the department responsible for formulating and putting into effect the UK Government's financial and economic policy.

The purpose of the Home Office is to work with individuals and communities to build a safe, just and tolerant society enhancing opportunities for all and in which rights and responsibilities go hand in hand, and the protection and security of the public are maintained and enhanced.

Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM)

The ODPM's aim is to create prosperous, inclusive and sustainable communities for the 21st century, places where people want to live, that promote opportunity and a better quality of life for all. Responsibilities for local and regional government, housing, planning, fire, regeneration, social exclusion and neighbourhood renewal put the Office at the heart of the Government's ambition to create sustainable communities for all.

Wales Office
