Our offices are open to visitors between 8.45am and 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45 to 4.45 on a Friday or you can contact us by telephone between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

If your baby was born on or after 29th October 2002, please ensure that you take your hospital discharge notes with you to the Register office when visiting to register your baby's birth. These discharge notes contain the baby's NHS number and enable the Registrar to issue a form for you to register the baby with your family doctor.
Should you forget to take the notes with you, don't worry, as your family doctor will be able to obtain the NHS number from a different source.
Copies of Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates are available from the Register Office. These are needed for many day-to-day purposes including:

You will need to enclose a cheque or postal order made payable to "Wrexham County Borough Council". It would be appreciated if a stamped addressed envelope could be included.

Birth, Death, Marriage and Civil Partnership certificates cost £10.00 each
Payment will be accepted by cash or debit/ credit card.
Certificates ordered at our reception desk, or by telephone, can be collected, or posted to the address on the application form, within 5 working days.
However, should you require your certificate sooner; we have a 24 hour Service where, for a cost of £16.00 including certificate, you may collect your certificate 24 hours after ordering it.
If your need is urgent we have a 2 Hour Priority Service available for £26.00 including certificate. Applications for the 2 Hour Priority Service must be received by 3pm Monday to Thursday and 2.45pm on Friday.
Security
You can order over the telephone using either a debit / credit card, or call in to the office to order and pay by cash / card.
We do not recommend you send any financial or personal details by e-mail.
You can get a copy of your divorce papers from the court where the divorce was processed.
