Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre has three pools to accommodate all ages and abilities.
Main Pool
The main pool is 25 metres in length and 12.5 metres (or 6 lanes) wide and ranges from depth from 1.25 metres to 2 metres in the centre. The pool is ideal for lane swimming and at least one lane is set aside during various public hours each weekday for this purpose. The water for all pools is constantly filtered and chemically treated to maintain safe swimming conditions at all times, and at 30 degrees centigrade is very pleasant for most users.

Learner Pool
The learner pool is ideal for very young children and parent and toddler sessions. This pool is separated from the main pool and is much shallower ranging from 0.60 metres to 0.90 metres. The water temperature is maintained at a very warm temperature of 32 degrees centigrade.

Function Pool
The function pool is divided from the main pool by a moveable boom which enables the function pool to be altered in length to accommodate for example aqua aerobic classes. The depth of the function pool is 1.05 metres and is ideal for non-beginners with the temperature maintained the same as the main pool at 30 degrees centigrade.
In addition to the pools Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre has water features which make your visit memorable.

Water Features
Wrexham Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre was refurbished in 1998. At this time the diving pool was replaced with water features, which have been a regular attraction particularly to young people and families. These features include a 65 metre Flume, a Rapids River Ride and Bubble Pool and are open at selected times and particularly during the evening and weekends.

Safety Tips for Pool Users
All swimmers must shower before entering the pool to reduce contamination of the pool water. Customers are discouraged from walking on the poolside to reduce the risk of contamination transferring from shoes to bathers feet and the pool water. Swimming hats are an effective way of minimising unwelcome hair loss into the pool water and consequently affecting the pool filtration system. Children under 8 years must be supervised at all times when on the premises and the use of flippers and snorkels are prohibited due to the risk of injury. The pool at Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre is a no diving entry pool due to having insufficient depth, unless specifically authorised by a member of staff and only as part of a club activity and under the control of a qualified competitive diving instructor.

Children and Swimming
In accordance with national swimming safety guidelines, an adult must accompany children under the age of 8 using the pool in a ratio of 2 children per adult (a responsible person aged 16+). An adult in a ratio of 1 to 1 should accompany children under the age of 5 but this may be increased to 2 to 1 at the discretion of the Duty Officer and with the restriction that children are confined to the learner pool. Adults with children under 8 years will ensure that children are kept at arms length and insight at all times.
