“Give us a go!” National Play Day Celebration in Wrexham Town Centre

Wrexham Play Network will be celebrating National Play Day by holding a free, open access event in Queen's Square from 12pm to 4pm on Wednesday 6th August 2008.

Using the theme "Give us a go!" organisations involved in children’s play from across Wrexham will be coming together to provide a wide range of play opportunities that will all incorporate an element of physical or emotional risk. The event will promote the benefits of allowing children to manage their own risks whilst playing and aims to counter the risk-averse “cotton wool” culture that can limit children’s play. The event will offer something for everyone who enjoys playing including the opportunity to get wet and messy so come prepared!
