Health: Healthy Walks in and around Wrexham's Country Parks

The Healthy Walks in and around Wrexham's Country Parks booklet contains 7 walks that start from the Country Parks managed by Wrexham Parks, Countryside and Public Rights of Way Service.

The walks are relatively easy being no more than 2-3 miles long, lasting no longer than 2 hours.

Dogs are welcome on the walks provided they are kept under control. We have tried to include in the walks any points of local interest.

If you have limited mobility please call 01978 763140 for advice on the suitability of the routes.

Each of Wrexham Countryside Services 7 Country Parks is unique, with something for everyone to enjoy, from tranquil woodland and riverside views to play areas and farm animals. Throughout the year we run an exciting programme of activities in each of the parks, details can be found in our events leaflet. We also provide an extensive environmental education programme for schools.

Mid-Week Guided Walk

Join the Ty Mawr Ranger on a summer walk through the meadows alongside the River Dee. The walk continues along to the Trevor Basin where the Aqueduct can be seen, before returning to Ty Mawr Country Park

The route includes some steep slopes, steps, stiles and uneven terrain.

Meet at Ty Mawr Country Park Visitor Centre on Wednesday 18th June at 10.30am.

The walk will take approximately 1½ hours and is 3 miles in length

For more information contact Ty Mawr Country Park on 01978 822 780.
