Originally built as the local Militia Barracks in 1857, County Buildings
now houses the Wrexham County Borough Museum. The display galleries and
temporary exhibition programme tell the story of the area, from the Bronze
Age to the present, and the extensive reserve collections can be studied
by appointment. The County Borough Museum is also the base for the County
Borough Archives and Archaeology Services.
