Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog
Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog is a village renowned for its picture postcard
prettiness. At the confluence of the Ceiriog and Gwrachen, it was used
by Drovers en route to market with their cattle and sheep. Its name is
derived from that of the 5th century missionary, Saint Garmon. The
literal translation is Llan - the Church land, (G)armon - the saint, Dyffryn
- in the wide valley of and Ceiriog - the river. Today this peaceful
village with its two hotels welcomes the discerning visitor seeking peace
and tranquillity.
