(Electoral) Roll on -:-Roll off
Do you get lots of junk mail or unwanted telesales calls? Do you want to reduce them?
The council keeps two electoral rolls; the first is confidential and used for election purposes and the second is an edited register which it is required by law to make publicly available.
Marketing companies buy copies of the edited register to get your details so they can contact you.
BUT
You can choose to remove your details from the publicly available register by writing to:
Electoral Registration
Ty Dewi Sant
Rhosddu Road
Wrexham LL111NF.
The register is currently being updated. The registration form has been sent to all households in the Wrexham County Borough area and includes a box to tick if you want to remove your details from the publicly available register (the edited register). If you have already sent your form back and have not ticked the box you may wish to use the attached letter. This should be returned by November 2006.
You have a right to protect your details. Use this opportunity.
You may also wish to register with the Mailing Preference and Telephone Preference services. These organisations operate free registers to reduce unwanted personally addressed junk mail and telesales calls.
The Mailing preference service can be contacted at:
