Gambling Licensing

Gambling Licensing

Wrexham County Borough Council will become the Licensing Authority under the Gambling Act, 2005.

This will result in the Council becoming responsible for granting premises licences in the Borough of Wrexham in respect of:

  • Casino premises;
  • Bingo premises;
  • Betting premises, including tracks;
  • Adult Gaming Centres;
  • Family Entertainment Centres

The Gambling Act, 2005 requires the Council to prepare and publish a "Statement of Licensing Policy" that sets out the policies that the Council will generally apply to promote the Licensing Objectives when making decisions on applications made under the Act.
