the allotment sites run by Wrexham County Borough Council's Environment Department.
Many people in the U.K enjoy growing their own produce in the garden
but not everybody has the space to grow fruit and vegetables. This gives
the public the ideal opportunity to rent an allotment. An allotment gives
an ideal opportunity to provide the home with home-grown fruit and vegetables
that is organically grown free from any chemicals.
Wrexham County Borough Council have 4 council run colonies where
allotments are available to rent. Allotments sites are at Erddig Road
(Hollow and Thomas Fields), Victoria Road and Prices Lane.
Erddig Road (Hollow / Thomas Fields)
Erddig Road has 22 full plots and 41 half plots and 41 quarter plots

Erddig Road Allotments has a water supply available for use by
the tenants on the allotment site.

A non-compostable rubbish area has recently been produced enabling
the tenants to use for their non-compostable rubbish created from
the allotment.

The site is securely fenced and tenants are issued with a key.
Victoria Road
Victoria Road has 16 full plots and 19 half plots

Victoria Road Allotments has a water a supply available for use by
the tenants on the allotment site.

A non-compostable rubbish area has recently been produced enabling
the tenants to use for their non-compostable rubbish created from
the allotment.

The site is securely fenced and tenants are issued with a key.

A shop is run through the Wrexham Allotment Tenant Association at
Price Lane and is available to all Allotment holders and offers seeds,
fertilisers, canes, compost etc.
Prices Lane
Prices Lane has 32 full plots and 75 half plots and 33 quarter polts.

Prices Lane Allotments has a water supply available for use by
the tenants.

Tanyfron
Tanyfron has 18 half plots.

Tanyfron Allotments has a water a supply available for use by the tenants on the allotment site.

The site is securely fenced and tenants are issued with a key.

A shop is run through the Wrexham Allotment Tenant Association at Price Lane and is available to all Allotment holders and offers seeds, fertilisers, canes, compost etc.
The council will cultivate all plots prior to letting.
Annual Charge Payable.
The annual charge payable for an allotment which is payable at the beginning
of April each year is currently £50.00 for a full plot and £30.00
for a half plot, and £15.00 for a quarter plot these costs include water. Tenancies run from April to
March each year.
There is a deposit of £5.00 for an allotment key however this will be refunded when the plot is given up. Please keep your receipt for proof of purchase.
