Children see Food go from Farm to Fork

Pupils from Brynteg CP School are getting a taste for home-grown produce after they followed their food's journey from local farms to their dinner plates. The initiative is being run in conjunction with Wrexham County Borough Council, the Broughton Partnership Board and Broughton Strategy Team and the Organic Centre Wales to try and encourage youngsters to understand where their food comes from.

Work Starts on Rhos Schools' Reorganisation

Inspiring plans were revealed today as works got underway on the former Pant Brickworks site in Rhos which will house the new Welsh Medium Primary School, Ysgol Hooson. The school will accommodate up to 240 primary and nursery pupils and is expected to open its doors to pupils in September 2007.

The New Multi Use Games Area (M.U.G.A) and Tennis Courts

The Gwyn Evans Sports & Activity Centre is a small dual-use facility built on the secondary school grounds of Ysgol Bryn Alyn, located in the heart of Gwersyllt. The Centre is predominately used by Ysgol Bryn Alyn secondary school and also local junior schools during the day, opening up to local community use during the evenings, weekends and school holidays.

Wrexham Council's commitment to improving educational standards took another step forward today when Ysgol Bryn Tabor re-opened its doors to pupils for the first time in six months after extensive refurbishment.
