Enforcement Team Gets Tougher On Litter Louts and Dog Owners
Wrexham County Borough Council is prepared to use the law to ensure that dog fouling and litter problems are tackled head-on. The Authority already serves more £75 fixed penalty notices than any other Council in North Wales and is warning offenders they will take them to court if they fail to pay. |

Out of Date Food Costs Tesco £10,000
Wrexham Magistrates have fined Tesco Stores Limited £7,600 and ordered them to pay £2,191 prosecution costs for selling out of date food at their store at Crescent Road, Wrexham.

New Chief Human Resources Officer
A new Chief Human Resources Officer has been appointed to Wrexham County Borough Council. Lucy Crumplin was brought up and educated in Blackwood, South Wales and is a graduate of Cardiff University, having gained a BA Joint Hons Degree in English Literature and Psychology. She is a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has also achieved a MSc in Human Resources at Southbank University. |

Young People's Double Celebration
Youth groups from all over Wrexham took part in a successful and rewarding Participation Celebration at the Ramada Plaza Hotel. The day also included the launch of www.youngwrexham.co.uk, the information website aimed at 11-25 year old young people who live, work or study in Wrexham. |

Following the investigation of suspected Foot and Mouth Disease at Egham on the Surrey/ Berkshire border, a GB wide national movement ban of all pigs, cattle, sheep and other ruminants has been imposed. Throughout the country no animal movements are allowed except under licence. |
