Promotion for Half Price Bus Travel for 16 - 18 Year Olds
Young people between 16 and 18 are being invited to Wrexham Bus Station on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 August between 10 and 2 pm to find out more about the innovative scheme which allows them to travel for half fare on local buses.

Operation Gingerbread Launched in Wrexham
As the school holidays begin a new initiative is launched in Wrexham to combat anti social behaviour and criminal damage to school buildings during the summer holidays. "Operation Gingerbread" will involve Police Community Support Officers in vehicles patrolling school premises during the evening time. A security service has also been employed to provide dedicated patrols to schools in the area to provide further security.

Pest Control Charges Set to Rise
Wrexham Council are advising residents that it will be increasing its charges for pest control and dog warden service with effect from July 1st. The increase follows a review of the service and the need to provide efficiency improvements throughout 2006. |
