Revised Date - Eagle's Meadow Car Park Closure

Wrexham Council will officially hand over the Eagle’s Meadow site to developer Wilson Bowden at the end of April. Work will start soon after and the car park, due for closure on the 3rd April, will now be closed to the public from Monday 24th April.

Alternative parking is available at Crescent Road which serves both long and short stay parkers. The car park is open everyday and has 146 spaces. The car park has been awarded the Park Mark® Safer Parking Award which is an initiative of the Association of Police Chief Officers (ACPO’s) and means that the car park has been risk assessed by the police.

Other short stay parking is available at Market Street and the Library car parks for a maximum of 2 hours and St Giles and St George’s Crescent for a maximum of 3 hours. Both long and short stay parking is available at Waterworld and People’s Market Multi storey.

Blue badge holders can either park in a dedicated car park on Rhosddu Road or within any other Council car park displaying a valid blue badge in any space, without a time limit.

Martin Wright, Chief Transportation and Asset Management Officer, said:

“These are exciting times for Wrexham as one of the most prestigious developments in the area gets set to begin. We are confident that parking in the town centre will not cause too many problems, although some disruption is inevitable, we know that people will be tolerant until the new car park and road layout is ready for use. May I take this opportunity to thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding as this long awaited project is undertaken.”
