Dog Chipping Event at Alyn Waters

On Monday 24th April 2006 at Alyn Waters there will be a free dog micro chipping event. All dogs over the age of 12 weeks can be micro chipped providing they are with a handler aged 18 and over.

Micro-chipping involves implanting a tiny chip under the dogs skin. The chip carries a unique number which can be read by a special scanner carried by dog wardens and most vets. This will ensure that should your dog ever stray he can be quickly identified and returned.

If you are in receipt of any benefit or pension then you will be able to get your dog micro chipped for free. Please bring proof of benefit to qualify. If you do not qualify for either then you can still get your dog micro chipped at a subsidised rate of £10, all proceeds go to the DogsTrust.

There is no need to book just turn up on the day and take your turn. The event will be running from 10am till 3pm and will be held at the visitors centre. Previous events have been busy so please be prepared to queue.

For further information contact Alyn Waters Country Park, Mold Rd, Gwersyllt. Wrexham LL11 4AG. 01978 763140
