Civic Reception for Wrexham Football Club to Celebrate the LDV Vans Victory
The Mayor of Wrexham is to host a Civic Reception for Wrexham Football Club to celebrate their LDV Vans Trophy victory.
In what will be one of the Mayor's last engagements following his year in office, players and key personnel from the Club will join civic dignitaries for the celebration on Saturday May 14th 2005. Rhosnesni school band will be playing from 11.30 on Llwyn Isaf.
On arrival at the Guildhall, the team will be escorted to the reception hosted by the Mayor Councillor David Rogers, and Mayoress Mrs Jackie Rogers. The team and LDV Cup will appear on the Civic Balcony facing Llwyn Isaf Green at 12.00 and the Mayor and Manager Denis Smith will be among the first to address the crowds.
The Mayor of Wrexham, Cllr David Rogers, said:
"Saturday will give everybody the chance to see the trophy and congratulate the team on their success in winning the LDV Vans Trophy. I know everyone will be keen to show their support for this wonderful achievement."
