Babes join Pudsey bear for Wrexham concert!

Chart-topping band Sugababes are just one of the host of first-class names topping the bill at this year’s Party For Pudsey, BBC Children in Need’s concert in Wrexham on Friday, November 18, BBC Wales announced today (Thursday, November 3).

The chart-topping trio are currently hotter than ever, having scored two number ones with their single Push the Button and album Taller in More Ways.

Also performing in what promises to be a truly sensational event are former S Club 7 songstress Jo O'Meara, Fame Academy winner Alex Parks, local Rhyl boy Andy Scott-Lee, Steve Balsamo’s hotly-tipped new band, The Storys and local Wrexham boys Fade2.

The free tickets are available from 9.30am on Monday, November 7 and can only be obtained by phoning 01978 313 763 or 08700 13 18 12.

Please note that the phone lines will not be open until this time. Callers are restricted to four tickets per household.

An audience of 6,000 is expected at the free event in Llwyn Isaf, near the Guild Hall, Wrexham, where a host of familiar faces and voices are preparing to join in the fun.

Presenters Jason Mohammad and Josie D'Arby are the hosts on BBC One Wales, with Alan Thomson and Karen Vincent bringing the live event to Radio Wales listeners, whilst James Fox takes time off from his hit Broadway musical to team up with Howard Griffiths as the masters of ceremonies at the concert itself.

"We’re really excited to have bagged Sugababes for this year's concert, especially as they are one of the hottest acts around at the moment," says BBC Wales Children in Need producer Jonathan Davies.

"I’m sure Wrexham will give them and the other acts a great welcome. We still have some invitations outstanding too, so there could be a few surprises still to come."

The concert is presented in conjunction with Wrexham County Borough Council and Airbus UK remains on board this year as the main sponsor of the event.
