Carer's Week in Wrexham

This week is National Carers Week and did you know that in Wrexham there are over 14,000 people who describe themselves as being carers?

Wrexham County Borough Council aim to recognise this vital role by offering support to carers to ensure they own health and well being, employment, learning and leisure opportunities are maintained by offering access to information and appropriate support.

The North East Wales Carers Information Service has organised events during the week in and around Wrexham town centre. Carers are invited to attend to spotlight and obtain helpful information and advice.

Between 9 - 11 June there will be an information table in Wrexham Library Foyer
on the morning of 10th June there will be a Carer's Drop In at Ellice Way, Technology Park and on 11th June there will be a coffee morning and carer's walk in the community centre and Belle Vue Park. This event will be supported jointly with AVOW.

During the week Superdrug will be offering money off vouchers for carers which are valid from 9th to 30th June 2008.
