Wrexham Arts Festival 2004
The 2004 Wrexham Arts Festival is nearly here! Yet again the Festival is packed with over 40 events running from 23rd May – 5th June, in various locations throughout the County Borough.
This year we have continued with the themed days to include jazz, literature, visual arts, dance, classical music, alternative arts, children’s music, storytelling, environmental art and drama.
Highlights of the Festival include Jazz and Classical Music on Queen’s Square, An Audience with Germaine Greer, Dance Jive Night, Hallé, Blacksmithing, Piggy Surprise and Dance Fusion by North East Wales Dance.
For children, there are arts & crafts sessions, puppet show, kite flying, face painting, mask making, musical fun and lots, lots more!
Alan Watkin, Chief Leisure, Libraries & Culture Officer says,
"I hope you will agree the Arts Festival programme is extremely varied this year with something for all ages and tastes and many of the events are free! The Hallé, Dance Jive Night and the giant pig are definitely events not to be missed this year!"
The Festival programme is now available from local libraries, leisure centres and tourist information centres or visit www.wrexham.gov.uk.
