Two Minute Silence - Armistice Day - Friday, 11 November, 2005 - 11.00 a.m

The Mayor, Councillor Mike Edwards, will lead the County Borough in the traditional two minute silence at Queen's Square on Friday, 11 November at 11.00 a.m.

The Royal British Legion, who are organising this event, advise that the proposed arrangements are as follows:

  • 10.58 a.m. - Bugler to sound Last Post
  • 11.00 a.m. - Two minute silence to begin during which a Wartime Air Raid Siren will be sounded
  • 11.02 a.m. - Bugler to sound Reveille
  • 11.03 a.m. - Conclusion of event

As in previous years, the Legion are calling on those who wish to do so to pause and remember in their own way for two minutes wherever they may be at 11.00 a.m. next Friday
