Alyn Waters Dog Fouling Campaign

Alyn Waters Country Park is running a campaign during April to encourage dog owners to be responsible and to clean up after their dogs. There will be information on Responsible Dog Ownership, Poopa Scooping and the Law, and Dog Fouling and the Risk to Health; available from reception in the visitors centre.

Posters will be displayed around the park, and the amenity wardens will be on regular patrol ready to offer advice and keeping an eye out for offenders.

The Senior Ranger for the park said “We have a huge number of dog walkers in the park on a daily basis, and the majority of these are responsible dog owners. However, we also have a small number of people who spoil the dog walker’s reputation, because of their lack of responsibility towards cleaning up after their dogs. We have a beautiful Country Park and want to keep it clean and safe for all our visitors”.

People risk a fine of up to £1,000 if their dog is found fouling in a public area.
