Wrexham A-Level Results 2007
Students in Wrexham schools have once again received excellent A Level and AS level results.
Whilst not all of the results have been fully analysed, early indications suggest an overall pass rate of 99.1%, which is 0.9% higher than in 2006 and 2% higher than the 2007 Wales national average.
A – C Grades are at 70%, a 7% improvement on last year’s figure of 63%. The pass rate at A grade is 23% which is an excellent achievement and in line with performance in Wales.
The Welsh Baccalaureate award has had a 100% pass rate for the second year running.
The Chief Learning & Achievement Officer, Hywyn Williams stated “These results are exceptional and reflect the hard work of students and their teachers over the past two years and they should be justifiably proud of their achievements.”
Councillor Arwel Jones, the Lead Member for Children and Young People said “These results are extremely encouraging and pupils in the three schools should be proud of their achievement”.
Although detailed information regarding the AS Level results have not yet been received, early indications suggest a pass rate inline with last years.
