PARENTS GUIDE
To services for Children aged 0-10 in Wrexham County Borough - Information for Parents, Carers and Professionals
The Childcare Act 2006 requires every Local Authority to provide information to parents to support them in their parenting role. The Children’s Information Bureau (CIB) fulfils this requirement on behalf of Wrexham County Borough Council and has produced this booklet to help parents find out about services for children aged 0-10 in their area.
The Childcare Act also requires every Local Authority to secure sufficient childcare for parents who require childcare to enable them to take up or remain in work or training. The CIB provides information on all registered childcare services across the County Borough and would welcome your views on the provision of childcare in your area. This information will ensure that we target resources to meet your needs.
The aims of this guide are:
-
To enable parents to find help, support and guidance in bringing up their children.
-
To help professionals in the voluntary, private and public sector working with young children.
-
To ensure that all agencies involved with children up to 10 are aware of local provision.
